About
I have worked in a wide spectrum of industries in the roles of Principal User Interaction Designer, Product Designer, and Creative Director. My work employs user-centered principles and emphasizes creative solutions that stem from thinking outside of the box. I have created products from scratch for mobile and desktop use in a wide array of fields such as finance, CRM, retail, and project management.
My career started when I co-founded one of the first French language film magazines on the internet. The magazine, Hors Champ, garnered several awards, including Best Young Entrepreneurs from the city of Montreal, and resulted in the launch of a second, English language version, Offscreen. Both magazines continue to thrive 20 years later. I subsequently moved onto other UX designer and creative director positions in the tech industry, from startups in Montreal and San Diego to Oracle, where I was a Principal Interaction Designer and Principal Product Manager, and developed a brainstorming methodology presented in multiple training sessions.
I have honed skills in responsive web and app design, graphic design, digital illustration, and typography, using Adobe Creative Suite, and developing effective wireframe and user flows for cross-platform products. I am fluent in 3D render software SketchUp, motion graphics and web animation including After Effects, and designing for printed materials. Most recently, I have been cultivating my abilities in 360˚ film, VR, and AR design implementation and have been a UX and creative technology consultant to start ups.
I enjoy mentoring younger designers and working collaboratively and inclusively in diverse teams. I also thrive on the possibility of finding creative solutions to design challenges through a combination of compelling narratives and new technologies.
